Here come the riots.
Breaking news: here’s a quote from my lovely, empathic girlfriend (that isn’t even meant sarcastically):
“Awww, he has two kids. His kids are going to get shit on at school, this sucks.”
Yep. They are.
The fact that people want him fired is unreal to me. A guy made a mistake, and yes, it cost you the game, but do you really want him fired over that one thing? You want to destroy his livelihood over that one thing? Grow up.
I thought Cudiff was very well spoken in his interview after the game. He acknowledged that he let his team down and was disappointed in his performance. He also said that kicking is his job. He is not paid to miss field goals, he is paid to make them, so he didn’t do his job. Of course football is just a game (I don’t really even follow that much, I just like the playoffs), but playing football is his job. You think if a business man messed up a huge deal for his company there would be no repercussions? Of course it is stepping over the line to call for someones head or bring their family into it (I hope people are actually nicer than their facebook statuses…), but for some reason people are always harsher on celebrities and people they don’t actually know. Anyways, like Cundiff said, he has overcome adversity in the past and with his family he will be ok and hopefully learn something from the experience.
